On a night when all of Cornwall went blue and elected Conservative candidates to represent the six Cornish constituencies in Parliament, George Eustice has been returned as MP for Camborne, Redruth & Hayle, increasing his majority from 66 to over 7000 in what is considered one of the most marginal seats in the country.
George said of the result "I would like to thank everyone who put their confidence in me and supported me with their vote. It have been a real privilege to represent my home towns these last five years. I have tried to prioritise economic regeneration and bring in new investment to the constituency. However there is still a lot more to do. I am also mindful that there were many people who did not vote for me and I want to represent them as much as those who have voted for me as I address the challenges ahead."
