George recently attended a charity event at Jenn's Diner to raise Awareness for Cornwall Blood Bikes.
Cornwall Blood Bikes are a group of self-funding volunteers operating as a registered charity to provide an "out of hours" courier service to NHS partners throughout Cornwall. They receive no funding by the NHS and rely entirely on the generosity of the community and deliver and collect blood, pathology samples, breast milk, and medication and much more.
George said, "Last weekend I attended a charity fundraising event for Cornwall Blood Bikes which is a fantastic local charity. There are a great number of volunteers who are on call to mobilise the 11 bikes across the country to courier blood, samples and other medical supplies between our hospitals. It is a busy operation and last year they carried out 2,150 operational jobs in Cornwall alone."
