Recently George Eustice, MP for Camborne, Redruth & Hayle met with students and staff at Treleigh School for World Book Day.
World Book Day is a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries across the world. Reading is an important skill for everyone and it can often open up our minds to exciting new worlds. Both children and staff took the time to dress up as their favourite book characters with the Harry Potter novels proving popular.
George said, "Reading can open people's minds to different worlds and possibilities. Its a valuable skill and it was interesting to see all of the different characters that both pupils and staff dressed up in to represent their favourite book character. At the moment the book that I read the most is The Hungry Caterpillar which I often read to my daughter as its her favourite."
