Following yesterday's Westminster Hall Debate on Religious Animal Slaughter, George Eustice, MP for Camborne, Redruth & Hayle, and former DEFRA Minister, today challenged the Prime Minister to agree that the issue of Religious Slaughter should become a free vote issue at Prime Minister's Question Time.
At PMQ's George highlighted the fact that evidence from the Food Standards Agency showed that up to 25 percent of all sheep last year were slaughtered without stunning. George therefore challenged the Prime Minister to commit to a free vote on the issue so that MPs can finally improve the law.
