George Eustice MP, has welcomed new funding awarded to Hayle Surf Life Saving Club and Surf Live Saving Cornwall as part of the Government's commitment to support charities who are working hard to keep inland waterways around the country safe.
The funding boost is part of a £1million package which will help with the cost of new equipment to help volunteer search teams save lives more quickly and easily. We owe emergency service workers a debt of gratitude for the courage, commitment and dedication they demonstrate in keeping us safe.
George said, “I am delighted that the Conservatives in government have recognised the fantastic work done by Hayle Surf Life Saving Cornwall and Surf Life Saving Cornwall here in Camborne, Redruth and Hayle, and are providing support to allow them to continue doing so. The volunteers of who work for these charities are the unsung heroes of the UK’s waterways – their commitment saves lives and on behalf of the whole community, and I would like to thank them for their work.”
