George Eustice has welcomed Cornwall Council’s statement today, in which it has announced a u-turn on proposed cuts to funding for Cornwall’s Citizens Advice Service.
Previous plans by the Liberal Democrat/Independent-led council would have seen cuts of £200,000.
George said “Good news that the Lib Dems on Cornwall Council have been forced to withdraw their threat to cut support for the Citizens Advice Bureau following a campaign supported by local Conservatives. Here in Camborne, Redruth and Hayle, the CAB plays an important role supporting and advising people on a wide range of issues”.
