Earlier this month, Devon and Cornwall Police announced that they had covered two of their police cars with poppies to show the Force’s support to the Royal British Legion’s annual appeal.
This was the first time in which the Force chose to mark Remembrance Sunday in this way and the cars have been out in force patrolling Devon and Cornwall. Recently one of the cars stopped by the Office in Camborne to catch up with developments happening in the area.
George Eustice, local MP said, “Everyone has their own way of marking Remembrance Sunday, but this was a creative way to raise the profile of the Poppy Appeal. I hope that the car encouraged people to take a moment to reflect on the contribution of all those who served in the First World War and all conflicts since then.”
