George Eustice today welcomed the news by Patrick McLoughlin, Secretary of State for Transport, that part of the £25 million Community Transport Minibus Fund would be going to community transport providers in the constituency.
The fund was announced in November 2014 and invited transport operators which play a vital role in supporting communities to apply for a new minibus. The successful bidders were announced on 26th March 2015 and included two providers based in the constituency: BF Adventure, an outdoor based activity centre located in Penryn and Hayle Day Care Centre Trust, which provides older people with a wide range of activities and services.
George Eustice said of the announcement “I have visited both BF Adventure and Hayle Day Care Centre and think its great news they have been successful in their bids for a new minibus. BF Adventure do really important work helping children with disabilities to engage in outdoor activities, while Hayle Day Care Centre plays a vital role in providing key services for elderly people in the community.”
