George Eustice, MP for Camborne, Redruth & Hayle celebrated St Piran’s Day this week.
On Saturday, George joined the parade and festivities in Redruth, speaking to local residents and even joining Pool Academy’s Samba Band. Following these festivities, some of Cornwall’s most famous food and drink producers visited the Houses of Parliament to celebrate St Piran’s Day. The Taste of Cornwall event, which was held in the Palace of Westminster, saw an array of producers displaying samples of their food and drink products including ale, cream, tea, biscuits, sausages, cheese, chocolate and crisps. The event was held by Cornwall’s six Conservative MPs to celebrate St Piran’s Day.
George Eustice said: “From the parade on Saturday in Redruth to the Taste of Cornwall Day, it was fantastic to be able to celebrate St Piran’s Day. The Taste of Cornwall was also a great way of inviting some of our local producers to show off their products here in the Palace of Westminster. It was good to catch up with Rodda’s from my own constituency, and it was a great chance to celebrate the Cornish food and drink sector which continues to grow and thrive”.
