George Eustice, Member of Parliament for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle has welcomed the news today that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme has today gone live helping thousands of people get access to financial support during the Coronavirus crisis.
Employers are now able to make a claim and HMRC have published updated guidance on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, and a simple, step-by-step guide on http://GOV.UK/
For employers there is also a calculator available, allowing employers to check their calculations online before making a claim and this can be accessed at: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/work-out-80-of-your-employees-wages-to-claim-through-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme
Those employers who are seeking to make use of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme should have all their information and calculations ready before beginning their application. They should retain all records and calculations, in case HMRC need to contact them. Employers should only call HMRC if they can’t find what they need on http://GOV.UK/ – this will leave their lines open for those who need help most. Employees should not contact HMRC about the CJRS. If they have any questions, they should speak to their employer.
If employers or individuals encounter difficulties then please email my office at [email protected] and a member of my team will respond to your request as quickly as possible.
