George Eustice, Member of Parliament for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle recntly visited the Troon AFC, based at Grouter Park, to see the fantastic work they do in supporting the local community.
George met with the owners of the club to hear about their plans for improving the existing club facilities and watched a training session take place. The club do important work helping young children keep fit and active and run a number of sessions on a weekly basis for people of all ages and abilities. Joining George was local Councillor David Atherfold and members of the club.
George said “Troon AFC is a fantastic local club and it was great to visit them and hear about the important work they do. During these difficult times, I know that the Club are working hard to comply with social distancing and public health guidelines. I wish them all success in the future with their plans to expand their facilities and also on the pitch.”
