George Eustice, Member of Parliament for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle has today welcomed a new package of funding from the government to offer support to the Heartlands Trust.
Heritage organisations across the country are set to receive a lifesaving financial boost from the government thanks to the £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund to help them through the coronavirus pandemic. Grants are between £10,000 and £1 million with a further round of grants of up to £3 million to be announced shortly. The Heartlands Trust received £500,000 in support for their work.
These grants will help organisations like the Heartlands Trust prepare for a cultural bounce back and support the recovery of the sector.
George commented, “During these difficult times it is welcome to see the Government supporting local organisations and charities as we continue to build back better from the Coronavirus pandemic. The funding that the Heartlands Trust has received will be hugely beneficial during these difficult times. The Heartlands Trust undertakes vital work supporting the local community and I know that this funding boost will be warmly welcomed by them. I wish them every continued success in the work that they do.
