George Eustice, Member of Parliament for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle welcomed new support for job seekers with the new Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS) scheme.
The new scheme will bring £238 million to help those left jobless due to Covid-19. Ever since George was elected in 2010, economic regeneration including attracting jobs to Camborne, Redruth and Hayle has been his top priority. Covid-19 has brought many new challenges, however supporting those out of work has been a priority for this government now more than ever.
This government has given a clear commitment to support those hit hardest by Covid, with extensions to both the business support and self-employment schemes as well as the new job support scheme. The new JETS scheme will bring more support to those left unemployed by Covid and help rebuild our economy.
George said “Throughout these difficult times, I know that many will have experienced worries and anxieties about their jobs and livelihoods. Covid-19 has brought many challenges, but with the new Job Entry Targeted Support Scheme the government is committed to helping job seekers in Cornwall.
